In this anisotropicplus video my wife and I rode the narrow gauge steam train from Durango to Silverton, Colorado in September, 2025. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were surprised with a steam bow, a hailstorm and unexpected stops for repairs and water refills. We were on the left side of our vintage coach on the way to Durango and the left side returning to Durango the following day. This video includes some real “cliff hangers” on the return trip. We spent the night in the Grand Imperial Hotel in Silverton and the next morning toured the San Juan County Mining Heritage Museum which includes a restored county jail, boarding house and the best mining museum we have ever seen.
