In this anisotropicplus video I show how I published two earlier videos concerning error codes on my Rheem hybrid hot water heater seven months and two years ago and how they were repaired with new thermistors from Rheem Customer Support. In September last year in 2024 I started getting this error code: EcoNet Alert – A004 Heat Pump Water Heater Gen 5 Comp.Shutdown: Discharge-Suction Trip. After two earlier issues and the last one just four months earlier I was not very happy. In Energy Saver Mode the heat pump would only run for a few minutes then stop and it would switch to Electric Mode (the expensive mode). This video shows my trouble shooting and how I resolved the problem.
