This anisotropicplus video is about troubleshooting my second Rheem Hybrid Heat Pump hot water heater issue. The first issue I had in February, 2023 is covered in this video: https://youtu.be/3uWJ9Q9HbXs?si=3_lYfWvbIBwqqXLp The water heater worked fine after replacing three thermistors 14 months ago until April of this year, 2024. I began receiving these alerts: EcoNet Alert – A005 Heat Pump Water Heater Gen 5 Compressor Shutdown: Discharge Temp High. I contacted Rheem Technical Support for hybrid hot water heaters at 800-995-0982. They helped me troubleshoot this new problem, sent me a new thermistor and this video shows how I replaced it.
