In this anisotropicplus video a few weeks ago a large crack suddenly appeared in the windshield of our 2018 Tesla Model 3. It was the middle of a sunny day in a Clemson grocery store parking lot with no evidence of any other damage or vandalism confirmed by Sentry. In South Carolina if you have comprehensive insurance they are required to pay for the full cost of replacing a severely damaged windshield. My insurance company is Allstate and they set up an onsite appointment at Safelite in Anderson, SC. Safelite could not do it remotely. It took them about three hours after they started work and this video shows the crack and what it looked like after Safelite had replaced it.
