In a recent anisotropicplus video, “When Changing the Odometer Gears in a Broken Mustang Odometer Doesn’t Help, What Can You Do?” I showed how I replaced the bad worm drive and driven gears in the odometer with new ones from C.J. Pony Parts. I had left the small drive shaft between the odometer and tripmeter out to prove that the odometer itself was working. In this video I show how I put the driveshaft back in, but put the odometer in upside down which caused it to lock up. I had also put the odometer cluster back in with bad electrical connections which caused the tachometer to stop working. I highlighted these mistakes so if you take on this project yourself you will know some of the problems you can have if you are not careful.
