October 12, 2022

This anisotropicplus video is about our experience with our scuppernong muscadine harvest in Upstate South Carolina in October, 2022. We were surprised to find we had muscadines left on the vine after having been out of town for 2 1/2 weeks. Also provided is some information about how scuppernongs got their name and where they are native in the southern U.S. They are great tasting, very sweet and we show you how to harvest them to assure they are ripe. Climacteric fruits ripen after harvesting, but scuppernong muscadines do not so you have to pick them at the right time. We show you how to do that. Information in this video was obtained from Wikipedia at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scuppernong It is a great article and I recommend reading it.
