In this anisotropicplus video we begin with a review of Newton’s First Law of Motion and then go into a diagrammatic description of centripetal force vs. apparent centrifugal force followed by a real world demonstration with a shepherd’s sling. The shepherd’s sling is an easy way to do a controlled release of an object moving in a circular path. This video should make it easy to understand centripetal force and apparent centrifugal force.
