This anisotropicplus video shows how we used two Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB) 1 inch cube magnets glued(Gorilla Epoxy) to a drill press vise to allow a very small gap and more intense magnetic field strength compared to a simple horseshoe magnet. The improved field strength is demonstrated with a coil of 22 gauge enameled copper wire and a millivolt galvanometer.
