This anisotropicplus video demonstration shows how you can preferentially heat one side or the other of a small heat pump by manually spinning the flywheel in different directions of rotation. There is a surprising result in this experiment. For some reason spinning it in clockwise heated one side, but the opposite side did not cool down. The same effect, but on the opposite side occurred when spinning it counterclockwise.
